The town of Churdan has many things planned to celebrate Halloween.
On Wednesday, Oct. 25, the Churdan library is sponsoring a morning of trick-or-treat for children who aren’t in school yet. Instead of the children coming in costumes, they will make a character headband and then trick-or-treat along the sidewalk at the school. Anyone who would like to hand out treats should meet at the library at 10 am and the group will go to the school from there. Any child who would like to participate should meet at the daycare center to make their headband by 10 am.
On Friday, Oct. 27, the Churdan library will have lots of Halloween games, food, and fun from 5 to 6 pm. Librarians ask that participants use the back door to begin the fun. The library’s events are sponsored in part from funds received through Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children neighborhood/Community Network Mini Grants
Also on Friday, Oct. 27, the Paton-Churdan National Honor Society will have trunk-or-treat from 5 to 6 pm at the Community Room parking lot. NHS members encourage the community to join them by decorating a vehicle or something else and handing out treats to the kids.
The town of Churdan will have trick-or-treating from 5-7 p.m. We hope this will give kids an opportunity to do trunk-or-treat, Churdan Library Halloween activities, and trick-or-treat. We would also like to remind motorist to be careful that night, because many little goblins are hard to see.
